Data and corrections
Where TeriLand's information comes from, what you may do with it, and how to tell us what needs to change.
The data
Where does the data come from?
Every page is put together from the venue's official site, open public sources (business registers, mapping data, tourist boards) and reports from visitors.
Everything is reviewed by hand before publication: the name, the address, the point on the map, the category, who it is for. Anything no source confirms stays out of the catalogue.
Opening hours, prices and seasons change too fast to be kept up to date here. Each page links to the venue's official site, which is the reference.
How do I browse the data on the site?
Two routes lead to the same catalogue. The directory drills down by destination and by category, page after page. The map shows the same places in their geography, with filters for area, category and audience.
No account is needed; display preferences stay in your browser. Each page says where a venue is, who it suits and what you find there, then links to its official site.
Can the data be reused elsewhere?
For occasional, non-commercial citation (an article, a dissertation, a blog post), yes: credit TeriLand and link back to the original page.
Bulk extraction of the catalogue, republishing it as a dataset and any commercial use need written agreement first: there is no open API and no freely available public export.
A CSV export of the catalogue or access to the API can be provided on written request. Depending on the project, it is provided free of charge.

Additions and corrections
How do I add a place that is missing?
The catalogue covers entertainment venues open to the public: theme and amusement parks, water parks, zoos and aquariums, leisure parks, play centres, resorts. To suggest one, send:
- The name of the venue
- The address of its official site
- Pictures of the venue, if you have any, with who took them and the right to publish them
The venue is checked, then its page is written and reviewed before publication: allow a few days. Send it to contact@teriland.com
How do I suggest a change?
A page to correct (a venue that has closed or changed name, a wrong address, a point misplaced on the map) or a page to fill out (description, details on what you find there, pictures): send your suggestion with
- The address of the page concerned, or the name of the venue and its country
- What changes: the text to correct and how it should read, or the content to add
- For a fact, a source we can check; for a picture, who took it and the right to publish it
Every suggestion is checked, then applied by hand. Write to contact@teriland.com
I run a venue, what can I do?
You can ask for your venue to be added to the catalogue if it isn't listed yet, for its page to be corrected, for a link to your official site to be added, or for the venue to be removed. Write from an address on the venue's domain, or from the contact address shown on its site: that is how we check the request.
To join the catalogue, send the items listed above: How do I add a place that is missing?
No venue pays to be in the catalogue or to rank higher: there are no sponsored pages and no paid options. The order on screen follows the visitor's filters.
